摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescence detector constituted so as to enable the two-dimensional dynamic detection of fluorescence over a wide dynamic range from the presence of an extremely small amount of fluorescent coloring matter to the quantification of the fluorescent coloring matter of an amount of a certain degree with high sensitivity. SOLUTION: The fluorescence detector is equipped with a light source 10 for irradiating the surface 44 to be detected of a sample with exciting light, a CCD area image sensor 24 for detecting the fluorescence emitted from the sample and a micromirror array element 11 for irradiating the surface of the sample with the two-dimensional irradiation pattern of the exciting light formed in a data processing part 41 on the basis of the detection result of the CCD area image sensor 24 and constituted so that the quantity of fluorescence is reduced by irradiating a place where the amount of the fluorescent coloring matter is large and intensive fluorescence is emitted with weak exciting light not only to suppress the adverse effect due to the scattering or the like of a fluorescent wavelength light on a peripheral part but also to prevent the saturation due to the excess quantity of light of a fluorescence detecting means and the quantity of fluorescence detectable by the fluorescence detecting means can be determined by irradiating a place where the amount of the fluorescent coloring matter is small and fluorescence is weak with intensive exciting light.
