PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new target molecule for development, etc., of immunomodulators and to provide an immunomodulator of new mechanism targeting the molecule and to provide a method, etc., for screening the immunomodulators. SOLUTION: The present invention provides an IRAK-4 gene as a new target molecule for development, etc., of immunomodululators. The present invention also provides the composition for functional regulation of T cell receptor containing a substance for regulating expression or function of the IRAK-4 gene as an active ingredient and a method, etc., for screening the substance capable of regulating T cell receptor function comprising evaluating whether a substance to be examined can regulate expression or function of the IRAK-4 gene or not.
