PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for displaying the outside of a vehicle capable of projecting the ever-changing outside scene on a real-time basis by performing the established image processing on an inner surface of a pillar without providing any unnatural impression, and rapidly and correctly performing the driving assist. SOLUTION: An image picking up the outside scene of a vehicle is picked up as a camera viewpoint image Ic, and a viewpoint detection step of detecting the viewpoint of a driver is performed. An image visually recognized when the outside scene of the vehicle is viewed from the driver is obtained as a driver viewpoint image Id. An area occupied by a vehicular structure viewed by the driver in the driver viewpoint image Id is obtained as a driver viewpoint image dead angle area, and projected and displayed on an inner surface of the vehicular structure corresponding to the inner surface shape of the vehicular structure.
