PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide luggage compartment structure in a rear part of an automobile possible to be divided into different three type sections in the forth and aft direction and in the vertical direction by two boards when necessary. SOLUTION: A luggage compartment is provided with a front board 11F and a rear board 11R, the front board 11F is detachably supported in the nearly horizontal direction at the predetermined height from a rear floor 5 in the rear of a back surface of a seat 4, the rear board 11R is detachably erected over the rear floor 5 close to a rear end of the front board 11F, and the front board 11F is supported at a position lower than the seat 4 and the upper end of the rear board 11R. The front board 11F, the rear board 11R and the back surface of the seat form a shelf part B surrounded in the front, rear and lower surfaces thereof, each of the elements 11F, 11R, 5 and the back surface of the seat form a secret box C surrounded in the front, rear, upper and lower surfaces thereof, and an open luggage chamber D is opened in the rear.
