PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hang-down type footrest for reducing the fatigue of the leg and waist when sitting for a long period of time is forced on a seat of a vehicle and in a limited space around the seat. SOLUTION: The hang-down type footrest 10 has a strip 12, a fastener 14 and a foot placing part 16. The strip 12 is a rubber string 12 provided with flexibility and stretching property and is mounted to a fitting 24 of a grip 20 or a head rest 22 of an automobile front seat 18. The foot placing part 16 for placing a toe part from a heel of the leg is mounted to a lower end side of the rubber string 12. The rubber string 12 is wound on the grip 20 or the fitting 24 while adjusting the length to a degree that the leg is not contacted with a floor even if it is placed on the foot placing part 16. By the flexibility and the stretching property possessed by the rubber string 12, the leg can be freely moved and vibration generated on the vehicle is absorbed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
