PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precursor of a bulky body for obtaining bulky fragments which precursor is easy to transfer, store, print there and cut into pieces, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The precursor of the bulky body is formed of a laminate equipped with a porous sheet layer which has a shape memory property and is compressed to the thickness direction and a sheet-like material layer. The manufacturing method of the precursor of the bulky body comprises laying the porous sheet having the shape memory property and the sheet-like material into layers with an adhesive in between, applying pressure and heat to the thickness direction and cooling under the pressured condition to a temperature lower than the heating temperature in the pressurizing/heating process.
