The injection molding machine, with two half-molds on support plates, has beams at two or three of the plate corners to close the mold. At least one plate has a pressure plate (13) or frame, on the side away from the mold, to grip a beam and transmit some of the closing force to a section of the plate offset from the beam. The pressure plate is a bridge between the beams, which builds up pressure in the fast stroke hydraulic cylinders (5,6), with a center pressure ring (16) to transmit the closing force to the center of the mold support plate.
