Front hood/bonnet structure for a motor vehicle swivels by means of a hinge and hinge pin on a motor vehicle's framework to move the bonnet between open and closed positions

A raising device (12) rears up a motor vehicle's front bonnet (2) into a raised position during a collision with a pedestrian. A device returns the raised front bonnet back into its closed position simply, reliably and safely. A hinge is assigned a device (14) for returning the front bonnet back into a closed position starting from a raised position. An independent claim is also included for a method for relocating a front hood/bonnet structure on a motor vehicle.
