<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical memory device that realizes a density higher than recording density determined by a diffraction limit of light, or has large capacity in spite of small size. <P>SOLUTION: An optical memory device includes a cylindrical recording medium 2, a motor 3 for rotationally moving the medium, a reflection slider 4 supported via a suspension 15 by an arm 14 in a space inside the recording medium 2, condensing and irradiating means (such as a laser light source and an objective lens) for condensing the light and irradiating the recording medium 2 and the reflection slider 4, and an optical pickup having an optical detector for detecting reflection light. The recording medium 2 is in a configuration where a recording film formed of a phase-change material and a dielectric film 19 are provided on an inside surface of a substrate having a cylindrical shape formed of glass, resin or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
