<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control a warning on registration, which requires intervention of a host apparatus, in a manner suitable for a user environment. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 121 can be connected to an information processor 110 capalbe of executing a registration user interface, or a device 19 not capable of executing the registration user interface. In the printer 121, information on the presence or absence of past connection with the information processor 110 is stored in a nonvolatile memory 114. When the state of being not yet registered is detected in the state of the connection of the printer with the device via the interface, the printer gives the device a warning on the state of being not yet registered in the case where the printer is connected to the information processor before, and does not give the device the warning on the state of being not yet registered in the case where the printer is not connected to the information processor before, on the basis of the information stored in the nonvolatile memory 114. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
