<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel for improving discharge characteristics by reducing the occurrence of flickers and regulating the number or the maintenance time of sustaining pulse, and to provide a plasma display device, a drive unit of the plasma display panel, and to provide a drive method of the plasma display panel. <P>SOLUTION: The plasma display panel comprises a scanning electrode and a sustaining electrode; a plasma display panel having a plurality of address electrodes intersected with the scanning electrode and the sustaining electrode; a drive part for driving the electrodes; and a sustaining pulse control part for making the number of the sustaining pulses per unit gradation more than in the other subfield in low sub-gradation subfields of one or more subfield groups from among a plurality of the subfield groups by dividing one frame into the plurality of the subfield groups, including one or more subfields and controlling the drive part in the plurality of the subfield groups. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
