<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide catalyst ink for fuel cell electrode formation, which can enhance a mechanical strength of an electrode catalyst layer. <P>SOLUTION: In the catalyst ink for fuel cell electrode formation which contains an electrolyte and a solvent, a polar solvent with a relative dielectric constant of 25 or more and 50 or less at a temperature of 20°C is used as the above solvent, and a molecular chain is formed when a surface of colloidal particles of an electrolyte polymer dispersed/suspended in the catalyst in a partially colloidal state is melted and the electrolyte molecular chain intertwines well with an electrolyte film 2 and as a result, the catalyst layers (3a, 3b) and the electrolyte layer 2 are firmly bonded to create a sufficient mechanical strength. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
