<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide austenitic stainless steel having scale peeling resistance that, even if it is subjected to a heating-cooling cycle of repeating heating at high temperature and cooling to room temperature, the peeling of protective oxidized scale formed on the steel surface can be suppressed, and suitably usable even in a high temperature humidified gas environment heated to high temperature, particularly, to≥1,023 K. <P>SOLUTION: The austenitic stainless steel has a composition comprising 0.01 to 0.15% C, 0.01 to 3% Si, 0.01 to 2% Mn, 0.1 to 2.5% Cu, 23 to 30% Cr, 16 to 25% Ni, 0.005 to 0.20% Al, 0.001 to 0.40% N,≤0.04% P and≤0.01% S, further comprising one or more kinds selected from Y and Ln group metals by 0.005 to 0.1% in total, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and in which the number of inclusions composed of Y and the La group in the surface of the steel is≤5×10<SP>-3</SP>pieces/μm<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
