PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image diagnostic device capable of substantially shortening image formation processing time. SOLUTION: The medical image diagnostic device is provided with: a rack 2 for gathering data; N pieces of image processing units 17A-17N capable of executing preprocessing of generating projection data on the basis of the gathered data and reconstruction processing of reconstructing images on the basis of the projection data; a unit specifying part 32 for specifying the respective image processing units 17A-17N as both of a unit for the preprocessing (preprocessing unit) and a unit for the reconstruction processing (reconstruction processing unit); a data division part 31 for dividing the gathered data into N pieces of partial data; a data transmission / reception part 41A for distributing the N pieces of partial data to the respective image processing units 17A-17N one by one; and an image composition part 33 for combining N pieces of partial images formed by executing the preprocessing and the reconstruction processing to the distributed partial data by the respective image processing units 17A-17N.
