PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multidirectional input device which can input various kinds of signals by operating a handling member in arbitrary circumference directions and has a center-return means downsized and a total height reduced. SOLUTION: For a center-return means 70 of the handling member which can operate in arbitrary circumference directions, ring-shaped permanent magnets 71 and 72 formed in a ring shape so that the handling member 50 penetrates inside and arranged in two steps in a direction of the axis of the handling member 50 so that a concentric and equal adsorption power may occur. One of the permanent magnets 71 is to be an immovable part fixed on the side of a body and the other magnet 72 is a movable part which can move together with the handling member 50.
