PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distribution system capable of selectively downloading character data, voice data or voice data corresponding to the character data. SOLUTION: An information processor comprises a detecting means for detecting the mounted state of a portable terminal unit that stores demand information for demanding selected information from a database menu of a server device; a communication control means for receiving the demand information from the portable terminal unit and controlling to transmit the demand information to the server device when detecting the mounted state of the portable terminal unit by the detecting means; and a recording control means for recording information retrieved on the server device according to the demand information and returned from the server device, in a storage means.
