PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having charge injection preventing performance, rectifying performance and charge potential retaining performance in such a degree to prevent deterioration in image quality even for long-term use without depending on the environment. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor comprises a supporting body made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy and having an anodic oxide coating formed by an anodic oxidation process on the surface, an intermediate layer formed on the supporting body and containing titanium oxide and melamine resin by the volume ratio of titanium oxide/melamine resin =0.8/1 to 3/1, and a photosensitive layer formed on the intermediate layer. In preferable embodiments, the anodic oxide coating is formed after etching in an acid solution of≤pH 5 and the film has 3 to 12μm film thickness; and the photosensitive layer comprises a charge generating layer and a charge transport layer deposited on the charge generating layer.
