PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost disk array device while improving the fault tolerance of a back interface. SOLUTION: A disk array device 10 includes a dual controller which performs data input/output processing for disk drives DRV0 to DRV14 in response to a data input/output request from a host device 70, and respective controllers 20 and 30 include FC controllers 25 and 35 which are connected to the host device 70 through one-path FCs 41 and 51 by interfaces and are connected to the disk drives DRV0 to DRV 14 through one-path FCs 42 and 52 by interfaces, and PBCs 27 and 37 each of which switches one FC-AL selected from two FC-ALs 61 and 62 or FC-ALs 63 and 64 loop-connected to the disk drives DRV0 to DRV14 to connect it to the FC 42 or 52.
