A patient (P) positioned on a movable platform can be inserted into a magnetic resonance device with the head or the feet first and lying on the back, the stomach, or one of the sides. A coronal (Acor) and a sagittal image (Asag) are created in order to determine the present position by using anatomical markers such as the nose, the feet, or the eye sockets (8) of the patient. The images are binarized and appear in black, white, and shades of grey. |
