<p>[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] To provide a powder composition for denture stabilization which is to be held between a pair of fabrics having a shape conforming to the shape of a denture base and comprises sodium alginate a 1 wt.% aqueous solution of which has a viscosity at 20°C of 320-380 mPa·s and sodium alginate a 1 wt.% aqueous solution of which has a viscosity at 20°C of 950-1,100 mPa·s in a weight proportion of from 0:1 to 1:1, preferably from 1:4 to 1:1. Weight proportions outside the range of from 0:1 to 1:1 result in a poor balance between adhesion strength and slip resistance and cannot give a denture stabilization sheet combining high adhesion strength with high slip resistance. [EFFECT] The sheet for denture stabilization employing the powder composition has a high strength of tackiness and can stably hold a denture in the mouth. It further has high slip resistance. There is hence no fear that after denture fixing in the mouth, the sheet may sideslip or slide out from between the denture and the oral-cavity mucosa.</p> |
