An apparatus for water filtration/purification which combines the function of filtrating off contaminants to be separated and the function of separating/concentrating the contaminants. This apparatus as a whole can be produced at a reduced cost. In the apparatus, the filtration function and the separation/concentration function are separately allocated. Namely, even when there are two or more filtration separators, the whole sludge water produced through these filtration separators can be recovered with one magnetic separator. Thus, the problem that an apparatus as a whole costs is eliminated. In the apparatus for water filtration/purification combining a filtration function and a magnetic separation function, which is intended to conduct water purification, solid-liquid separation, etc., the magnetic separation part can be made smaller. Thus, an apparatus for water filtration/purification can be provided which attains high purified-water quality and can be produced at a low cost.
