A system and a method for treating the waste water are provided to reduce the injection amount of medicines and to enhance the elimination efficiency of nutrition salts. A precipitation cistern(11) with an overflow type stores temporarily the waste water introduced through an introducing pipe(30). When the water level of the stored waste water exceeds the predetermined water level, the stored waste water is transferred into a first reaction cistern(13). A sludge discharge pipe(14) discharges the sludge precipitated into the first reaction cistern. An air supply member includes an air projection device(14a) extended to the inside of the first reaction cistern at the lower portion of a separation membrane unit(15) for projecting air or oxygen. An air pump supplies air or oxygen to the air projection device. |
