STAGED COMBUSTION METHOD USING A PREHEATED OXIDANT

Combustion of a fuel which is injected with two oxidants. A primary oxidant is injected at a distance I 1 from the injection point of the fuel, where I 1 is no more than 20 cm, preferably 15 cm ; and a second at distance I 2 from the fuel injection, where I 2 is greater than I 1. The quantities of oxidants are such that their sum is equal to the stoichiometric quantity required for combustion; the first oxidant is oxygen-enriched air at 200[deg]C max., and the second is air pre-heated to at least 300[deg]C.
