<p>A portable blood pressure measuring device (50) comprises a casing (10), a pressure sensor (22) adapted to sense oscillations in pressure from a cuff (20) attached to a user, and a microprocessor (18) for determining blood pressure based on the oscillations in pressure sensed by the pressure sensor (22). There is a signal converter (23) provided in the casing (10) for operatively converting data from the pressure sensor (22) into data for the microprocessor (18). Also included is a voice processor (25) provided in the casing (10) for operatively receiving data from the microprocessor (18) and then generating a voice signal indicative of the blood pressure sensed by the pressure sensor (22).</p> |
