A backlight assembly and a display device having the same are provided to reduce a brightness difference between a region corresponding to lamps and a region between the lamps by providing a container having convex portions diffusing and reflecting light emitted from the lamps to the region between the lamps. Lamps generate light. A container(150) receives the lamps, and has a convex portion at one side. The convex portion protrudes to have a curved shape to reflect light from the lamps. The convex portion is placed between the lamps. The convex portion is formed to extend in a longitudinal direction of the lamps. |
