A filter and a duplexer are provided to reduce the size of a filter by increasing magnetic inductance of a ground pattern. In a filter, a filter chip is mounted on a stacking unit. Input and output terminals(61,62) are installed at the stacking unit. First U-shaped line patterns(51a,52a) are connected to the filter chip, and are formed on a first layer(124) installed in the stacking unit between the input and output terminals(61,62) and the filter chip. Second U-shape line patterns(51b,52b) are connected to the first U-shape line patterns(51a,52a) and the input and output terminals(61,62), and are formed on a second layer(125) installed in the stacking unit between the first layer(124) and the input and output terminals(61,62) to be approximately overlapped with the first U-shape line patterns(51a,52a).
