New dyeing compositions, containing improved levelling agents, for dyeing of keratinous fibres, especially human hair, making more uniform the colour of the dyed fibres, are provided. The compositions contain
a) a dyestuff; and
b) fatty acid dimethylaminopropylamide and/or its salts, comprising at least 60 wt.% behenic acid dimethylaminopropylamide and/or its salts, the remainder being fatty acid dimethylaminopropylamide derived from other fatty acids. Behenic acid dimethylaminopropylamide can also act as thickening agent in dyeing compositions. |
