PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the vibration and uneven rotation of each image carrier without using a heavy and large inertial body. SOLUTION: An image forming device has a plurality of image carriers (rotors) 16k-16c each having a toner image formed on its rotating and moving surface, and having the respective image carrier surfaces which make contact with a belt B at respective transfer areas Q3k-Q3c and which rotate and move in the same direction as the belt B; transfer machines 20k-20c which transfer the toner images formed on the image carriers 16k-16c onto the belt B; image carrier rotating shaft mounted friction rollers 42k-42c mounted on the rotating shafts of the plurality of image carriers 16k-16c and rotating integrally with the image carriers 16k-16c; and an odd number of driven friction rollers 43 each provided between the adjacent image carrier rotating shaft mounted friction rollers 42k-42c and coupling the rotations of the adjacent image carrier rotating shaft mounted friction rollers 42k-42c together through frictional contact. |
