System for the storage and recovery of confidential information

The system has an encryption unit for encrypting confidential information with a public code using a key service. The encrypted information is stored in an accessible memory and an input device (4) is arranged for inputting a private code associated to the public code through the key service for recovering the confidential information. A selection device is arranged for selecting the key service by a user. An independent claim is also included for a method for storing and recovering confidential information.
