<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for cutting a workpiece with a side pressure, capable of surely and simultaneously cutting the workpiece into cut pieces in a designated cross section by a disking method and capable of improving the durability of consumed members by disposing a side pressure-transmitting cylinder, pressure-sealing members, metal members, a pressure means and a pressure container. SOLUTION: When a workpice 1 is cut with a side pressure cutting means, streaks 2 are preliminarily locally formed on the outer peripheral surface of the workpiece 1 in arbitrary distances, respectively, rectangular to the longitudinal direction of the outer peripheral surfaces of the workpiece 1 by the use of indenters placed on cutting positions on the outer peripheral surface of the workpiece 1. The workpiece 1 is fit into a side pressure-transmitting cylinder 3 through a pressure medium 4. An axial direction pressure seal member 5 and a radial direction pressure seal member 6 are disposed on both the ends of the side pressure-transmitting cylinder 3. Both the members are fit into the first and second metal members 7, 8, and pressed and deformed, when a holding member 9 is moved toward the side of the first metal member 7 for a constant distance by a pressure means. The inner circumferential portion of the pressure container 11 can be sealed to form a pressure chamber 10.</p> |
