A dental restorative material made of metal containing nano silver is provided to sterilize microorganisms and inhibit the proliferation and infection of decayed tooth-causing bacteria in cared teeth, and maintain health of teeth for a long period. The in lay or on lay dental restorative material made of metal contains or is coated with nano silver in the amount of 0.01-20 wt.% based on 100 wt.% of dental restorative material, wherein the metal includes gold, platinum, titanium, stainless steel, nickel, chromium, molybdenum, thallium, cobalt and silicon; the particle size of the nano silver is 0.05-300nm; and the coating thickness of silver nano is 0.01-50mum.
