Classes 79(3) and 79(4) The engine a, Fig. 1, of an agricultural tractor is rigidly attached at the rear end to a main-frame portion c comprising the casing of the gearbox and differential and is supported at its front end by the vehicle frame d through spring means so that flexing of the frame d can take place without producing high stresses in the engine casing. The frame d comprises channel members bolted to the casing c and connected together by a transverse member e, Fig. 2, carrying the front axle. A leaf spring f attached to a bracket g on the front of the engine a is supported at its ends through set-screws h in the member e. In a modification the front of the engine a, Fig. 3, is supported by coil springs m on the frame members d. The proportion of overhung weight to be carried by the springs m is adjusted by set screws h.
