A ventilation system with a humidity control and sterilization unit and a control method thereof are provided to keep fresh indoor air by simultaneously controlling humidity and sterilizing air, to install the ventilation system easily by reducing the size of the humidity control and sterilization unit, and to decrease energy consumption by using microwave with a high frequency generator. A humidity control and sterilization unit(100) consists of a passage(110) flowing air, a housing(150) communicated with the passage, opened at one side and closed at the other side, a water tank(160) installed in the housing to store water, and a high frequency generator(172) radiating high frequency microwave to the housing. The housing is made of material for shielding microwave radiated from the high frequency generator, stainless steel and anticorrosive material. The water tank is made of material for passing microwave. The high frequency generator includes a magnetron. |
