摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible thermal recording medium in which contrast and durability are good and an erasing energy range is wide and a change of the lapse of time is eliminated and to provide its producing method. SOLUTION: The reversible thermal recording layer 14 is formed by paint in which dye and a developing subtractive color agent are dispersed or dissolved in a solvent-based thermoplastic resin and a solvent-based radiant curing type resin is added thereto. Or, the reversible thermal recording layer 14 is formed by paint in which a dye, the developing subtractive color agent, a resin base material, a resin having low glass transition point and a radiation curing type resin are dissolved in a solvent. Since the dye and the developing subtractive color agent are dispersed in the radiation curing type resin in a state of mixed and melted fine particles, coloring through combination of dye and the developing subtractive color agent is not disturbed by curing of radiation curing type resin. Accordingly, generation of texture fogging and decrease of printing density are not caused and good contrast is obtained. Durability of the reversible thermal recording layer is good because radiation curing type resin is used.
