<p>A projector is provided to improve display performance of moving pictures to implement the projector having high optical efficiency. A projector includes an irradiation optical system(121), and an illumination scanning optical system(122). The irradiation optical system converts at least one of a shape and a size of an optical flux of illumination light irradiated by the light source, and irradiates light into a region narrower than the image forming region. The illumination scanning optical system irradiates the illumination light irradiated by the irradiation optical system to the image forming region.</p> |
