A method and a system for limiting a supplementary function of a mobile terminal are provided to prevent a leakage of information as necessary and allow a user to freely use a supplementary function even in an area where a leakage of information is limited. New data is generated by performing a supplementary function set as a limited function among supplementary functions of a mobile terminal according to a user request. When a limit signal is received while storing the generated data, the data is coded by using currently received location information and stored. When the coded and stored data is requested to be read, the data is decoded by using the currently received location information and provided.
