The device has a guiding device (10), which runs through an inner portion of a tubular component while longitudinally processing the component. The guiding device is formed by flexible guiding units (11), which are fixed at its ends, under tensile stress. The flexible guiding unit stretches at the time of processing of the inner surface of the component, such that the processing device length corresponds to the component length. The guiding unit relaxes at the end of the processing.
