Compact auxiliary drive for a trailer

The drive has a roller (13) driven by a drive motor (10) over a gear. A spindle drive (14) moves the support between stationary and drive positions, where the roller is separated from a wheel of a trailer in the stationary position and is pressed against the wheel in the drive position. The support is designed so that a force flow that is caused by an operating force acting on the roller in the drive position is guided via a gearbox. The drive motor is covered by an enclosure that is fastenable at the gearbox.
