A method for purchasing lotto by using a personal terminal is provided to notify a user of a winning number and lottery money payable related to a purchased lotto through a mobile terminal. A personal terminal of a user is connected with a main server and automatically or manually selects a lotto number. A window for inputting six numbers and its use method are displayed on an LCD of the personal terminal, and in this case, when an automatic number selection is selected, numbers are automatically inputted, and if a manual number selection is selected, the user personally inputs numbers. After six numbers are completely selected, when the user presses an ACK button, it is authenticated. When the authentication is completed, a lotto purchase fee is charged to the personal terminal, and when the user wins the lottery, a winning number and corresponding lottery money payable are informed to the personal terminal.
