摘要 A driving method of a plasma display panel is provided to execute stable address discharge by extending the widths of address and scan pulses during an address step following a reset step where weak reset discharge is generated. In a driving method of a plasma display panel, a sub-field(SF) comprises first reset steps(TR11,TR21) for forming a wall charge state for generating address discharge only in a first display line of two display lines where one Y electrode line(Y1~Yn) is used in common; second reset steps(TR12,TR22) for forming a wall charge state for executing the address discharge only in a second display line which is the other one of the two display lines, by stronger reset discharge than the first reset discharge; address steps(TA11,TA22) for applying scan pulse in sequence to the Y electrode lines and applying the address pulse synchronized with the scan pulse applied to address electrode lines forming a discharge cell selected for each Y electrode line; and common sustain discharge steps(TS1,TS2) for generating sustain discharge in the selected discharge cells of the first and second display lines at the same time. The width of the scan pulse in the address step following the first reset step is wider than the width of the scan pulse in the address step following the second reset step.
