A method for electrodeposition coating of an outer face of a kettle body is provided to improve heat resistance and wear resistance of the kettle body by improving adhesion force between a coating solution and the outer face of the kettle body while preventing tear-drop marks from forming on the outer face of the kettle body. In a method for coating an outer face of an approximately cylindrical kettle body, a method for electrodeposition coating of the outer face of the kettle body comprises: preparing an electrolyte tank(10) into which a coating resin solution for coating the outer face of the kettle body(30) is dissolved; preparing a cathode plate(40) in the electrolyte tank, and then using an approximately cylindrical kettle body of which upper and lower portions are opened as an anode plate; and shutting off the upper and lower openings of the kettle body with an insulating material(60) and applying a power supply to the anode plate and the cathode plate to electrodeposit the coating resin solution dissolved into the electrolyte tank on the outer face of the kettle body only.
