A slide type mobile terminal is provided to prevent the contamination of a liquid crystal screen and to prevent damage due to an impact. A main body(100) includes a liquid crystal screen on its central portion. The first slide body(200) has a shape corresponding to an upper half portion of the main body(100) and is combined such that it can be slidably moved upward with respect to the main body(100). The second slide body(300) has a shape corresponding to a lower half portion of the main body(100) and is combined such that it can be slidably moved downward with respect to the main body(100). The first sliding unit, which includes the first sliding groove(110a), the first sliding member(120a) and the first coupling recess(121a), slidably moves the first slide body(200) with respect to the main body(100). The second sliding unit, which includes the second sliding groove(110b), the second sliding member(120b) and the second coupling recess(121b), slidably moves the second slide body(300) with respect to the main body(100).
