A mobile communication system for providing a lettering preview service and its method are provided to allow a sender to check originating information data, correct or store it in advance, thereby sending individual origination information data to a mobile terminal of a receiving side. A wireless access network(110) wirelessly transceives data with mobile terminals of a caller and a callee based on a predetermined protocol. A mobile communication network includes an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(120), an SMS(Short Message Service) center(126), an HLR(Home Location Register)(122), and a VLR(Visitor Location Register)(124). A TIIS(Telephony IP Integration System)(128) serves as a gateway between an IP(Internet Protocol) network and a voice-based mobile communication network. A lettering service server(130) interworks with the TTIS(128), and transmits a text-based field data list to allow the caller to selectively edit lettering image contents, check the contents through his/her mobile terminal to personally check originating text information data configured by the caller to thus store or re-edit it, before it provides a lettering service to the callee mobile terminal.
