A character input device and an inputting method thereof are provided to conveniently perform final word inputting, consonant changing, and vowel changing actions in a state that one character is inputted. A memory(110) individually stores vowels and consonants which are changed by the number of times a random key is selected. A key input unit(140) consists of the first input keys for inputting one character, the second input keys for inputting final words, the third input keys for selecting the vowels in a changing sequence that the vowels are stored in the memory(110), and the fourth input keys for selecting the consonants in a changing sequence that the consonants are stored in the memory(110). A controller(120) displays a character corresponding to a selected one of the first input keys, and if a final word or a vowel or a consonant has to be changed in the displayed character, the controller(120) displays the character by changing the corresponding character according to at least one input key selected from the second input keys to the fourth input keys. |
