A display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to maintain a high light emitting efficiency and a high brightness life of an organic electroluminescence element having a short-wavelength based light emitting layer. In a display device(1), a plurality of organic electroluminescence devices(5) is arranged on a substrate(3). Each of the organic electroluminescence devices(5) includes a lower electrode(11), an organic layer(19) including at least a light emitting layer, and an upper electrode(18) in sequence. At least a portion of the light emitting layer of the plurality of organic electroluminescence devices(5) includes a first light emitting layer(14) formed by a vapor deposition and a second light emitting layer(15) formed by a thermal transfer. And, the first light emitting layer(14) emits light equal to a blue light or a shorter wavelength.
