FIXED BED REACTOR FOR GAS-PHASE CATALYTIC OXIDATION AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING ACROLEIN OR ACRYLIC ACID

A fixed bed reactor for gas-phase catalytic oxidation and a method for manufacturing acrolein or acrylic acid are provided to restrain the precipitation of catalyst restraint agents. A reaction tube filled with gas-phase oxidation catalyst is prepared. Solid acid with the specific oxygen intensity is positioned at an air path containing start material compound and/or manufactured compound. The solid acid is filled in a reaction tube. The start material compound is oxidized through a gas-phase catalytic oxidation so that the final product is manufactured. The solid acid is positioned at least at upstream side of the catalyst in the air stream direction or mixed with the catalyst.
