METHOD SYNCHRONIZING TIME OF MOBILE TERMINAL BASED ON ASYNCHRONOUS MODE AND THE SYSTEM THEREFOR

A time synchronizing method of a mobile terminal based on an asynchronous mode and a system thereof are provided to automatically set time so as to be suitable to a local area when a user moves to the area with time difference. When an area movement is detected, it is checked whether time information change is requested based on LAI(Location Area Identification) information. When time information change is requested, a mobile terminal is connected with a time server that provides a reference time in a corresponding area in order to perform PDP context activation with the time server. When the PDP context activation is finished, time synchronization through SNTP(Simple Network Time Protocol) packet communication is requested from the time server. Reference time information through the SNTP packet communication is obtained from the time server. Time synchronization is performed with the obtained reference time information.
