<p>A method for performing network printing using a subnet mask is provided to perform a higher priority printing job in advance to the reserved printing job in a network environment, obtain statistics information for the number of performed prints, and enable a printer to assign priority-based setting to print an allotted page based on the printing job of a sender. A source IP(Internet Protocol) address is read(200). The subnet mask is extracted from the source IP address. If the subnet mask has printing permission by checking the subnet mask with a printing block address, the printing job is performed. If not, the printing job is interrupted(215). If the priority is allocated by checking whether the priority is allocated to a subnet address, the priority is read and the printing job is ordered to the printer according to the read priority(214). If not, the usual printing job is ordered(216). The statistics information in the memory is updated based on success or fail of the printing job(224).</p> |
