A broadcasting program recording apparatus and a method of searching a program executable in the apparatus are provided to search the play position of a desired broadcasting program while a recorded stream with respect to a channel is reproduced. A bookmark is set at a changed point of a broadcasting program recorded with reference to EPG(Electronic Program Guide) when the broadcasting program is changed(S209). When the recorded broadcasting program is reproduced, the broadcasting program is reproduced from the point at which the bookmark is set. When a broadcasting program recorded with reference to EPG is changed while a user watches the broadcasting program in a time shifting manner, a book mark is set at the changed point of the broadcasting program.
