WAVELENGTH DIVISION MULTIPLEXED LIGHT SOURCE AND PASSIVE OPTICAL NETWORK USING THE SAME

A wavelength division multiplexed light source and a PON(Passive Optical Network) is provided to accommodate more subscribers at a relatively low cost. A plurality of BLSs(Broadband Light Sources)(110-1-110-M) are periodically disposed on a wavelength axis and output light of pre-set wavelength bands having a configuration wavelength, respectively. An M-CWDM(Main-Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer)(120) multiplexes a plurality of beams inputted from the BLSs(110-1-110-M) and outputs them. A DWDM(Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexer)(140) performs spectrum division on multiplexed beams inputted from the M-CWDM(120) with channels corresponding to the configuration wavelengths to generate a plurality of channels separated with a wavelength period.
